GPU-accelerated motion planning for hospital logistics robots using NVIDIA CuRobo.

A US-based robotics startup was developing a mobile manipulator for hospital inventory and logistics operations.They needed fast, reliable, and production-ready arm motion planning on custom hardware to handle real-world manipulation tasks safely and efficiently.
We adapted NVIDIA CuRobo for a custom multi-arm mobile manipulator by building accurate URDF models and collision geometry tailored to the real robot.We integrated, validated, and visualized motion planning in simulation and RViz, and added preferred-solution selection to improve execution reliability from multiple generated plans.
• Successfully deployed CuRobo on the client’s custom hospital logistics robot in a short time frame.
• Improved motion planning consistency and real-world usability.
• Enabled faster development without requiring deep in-house CuRobo expertise.
